Painting landscapes and horses

Donna Naprstek has had many hours of fun with watercolours and acrylics over the past fifty years, not consistently, but she always seems to find her way back to painting.

Pencil crayons and then watercolours got her started on this road to adventure while raising her children in the 80’s and 90’s and then acrylics came along in the 2000’s when a friend introduced her to this versatile medium. Landscapes and horses have always been Donna’s preferred subject matter. Spending twelve years in BC ignited her already existing love of mountains.
After teaching watercolours for seven years in Carleton Place, Donna moved west, to BC, where she explored painting on the driftwood that she found along the Columbia River while kayaking.
And now Donna finds herself back in the east, in Almonte, where she’s rejoined the art groups she used to belong to. In doing so she hopes to see what other artists are doing, rekindle friendships, and make new ones.
