About ACP
Arts Carleton Place is beginning a new chapter of its life with 150+ committed members and a dynamic board bursting with ideas to build on the successes of the past. The executive, board members, minutes of board meetings and the Draft By-Laws are available at –
ACP BOARD.
The club runs two popular art shows – the spring Fine Art Show and Sale on the first weekend of May and the Itty Bitty Art & Crafts Sale usually on the first weekend of November. These shows take place at the Carleton Place Arena from 10am – 4:30pm.
The annual Student Bursary Program remains a core commitment of the organization supported by donations and proceeds from the art shows. The program offers a minimum $1,000.00 bursary to both Carleton Place High School and Notre Dame Catholic High School. The schools decide on how much and to whom the money will be awarded. Check our Bursary web page for the names of past recipients.
There are several local businesses showcasing our member’s art in our Art In Public Places program. Local residents can see original art by our talented local artists. They also can purchase these works by contacting ACP.
The ‘Artsy Happenings’ e-newsletter is sent monthly to a growing list of ‘patrons’ who have subscribed to this informative roundup of upcoming art events featuring ACP members. They learn where artists are showing their work, theatre productions are occurring, musical events happening and much more.
The Members Gallery, on this website, is an impressive showcase our member’s work and talents, providing them with a vibrant on-line web presence.
