Donna Lewis Black is a watercolour artist who enjoys painting a wide variety of subjects. She
paints what inspires her, everything from nature to sports figures. Most recently she has been drawn to painting local landmarks adding a flair of colour to her line and wash sketch pieces.

Retirement gave her more time to scratch the creative itch, starting with painting birthday
cards for family members. The pull to keep creating was strong and she has been enjoying
exploring the complexities of watercolour including illustrating several of the children’s books
she has written. “I find painting both stressful and peaceful at the same time. I love getting lost in the process.”
