Donna Baskin is a mixed media artist, currently focusing on eco-printing / eco-dying.
Eco-printing is a technique where plants, leaves and flowers are used to make shapes, colour, and marks on fabric. These prints are referred to as “eco-prints.” Each piece is unique and one-of-a-kind.
Donna hand picks every leaf and flower with thought and purpose, printing onto silk scarves, cotton and upcycled clothing. Some of her cotton and silk fabrics are torn up and used to create wall hangings, tapestries and other items.
Donna has a deep love for natural elements and creating with them, loving to collect rocks, feathers, and sticks, incorporating what she can into her art. Eco-prints are a wonderful way to bring some nature into your home and life.
Donna is also a passionate photographer, and some of her eco-printed fabrics are being incorporated into pottery pieces, such as wall hangings and bracelets.
