Elaf Selim is an artist of softness and light, an alchemist of dreams who paints the quiet language of the soul. She grew up in a family that safeguarded her imagination, encouraging her to notice beauty, colour, and the textures of the natural world.

She graduated from the University of Calgary, and worked in the IT industry before returning to the life she always longed for: one shaped by art, emotion, and intuitive exploration. Continuing her studies, she trained in classical oil painting and modern mixed-media methods, deepening the luminous, romantic aesthetic that has become her signature.

Her paintings are dreamlike meditations; feminine figures, gardens, delicate symbols, and soft light drifting together in warm harmony. She makes her own collage papers from petals and plants gathered in her garden and moves between fluid mediums, oils, and pastels to create surfaces that glow gently outward.

Working from her home studio, surrounded by her garden, Selim creates art with a singular intention: to offer a resting place, an intimate sanctuary of peace for those who collect and live with her work. Her paintings are exhibited in shows that celebrate contemporary romanticism, beauty, and the power of serenity.
