Julie is an abstract impressionist oil and pastel artist based in Ottawa, Ontario. She is a plein air painter braving the four seasons of Ottawa and has painted during snowfalls, hail storms and even in -15 Celsius (5 Fahrenheit) temperatures. She is the founder of the Ottawa Plein Air Painters (OPAP) where she leads a group of artists in painting on location, all year.
Julie is a Signature Member of the Pastel Artists of Canada and an Exhibiting Member of the Federation of Canadian Artists.
Julie teaches the foundations of art to new and advanced artists.
