The Art
Original character designs in the Royal Gate
Martin creates illustrations inspired by manga and anime style art through the use of inks, high-end markers, watercolors, and digital media. With his own style, he has created more than 100 original characters belonging to the fictional world of Royal Gate, also created by the artist.
Through the use of compositions, shapes and sequential art, he manages to capture the attention of the public to also create portraits in the comic and manga style, which he creates at artistic events.
Background
Born in Mexico, he began drawing at the age of four, inspired by the cartoons that aired on television, which were known as anime, mainly the series known as Saint Seiya.
For a long time, he continued practicing drawing, exploring some mixed techniques. He began his career in architecture, so he had to pause his artistic experience in exchange for new technical knowledge that he learned and used to give a better structure and direction to his art, which led him to create his own characters while studying manga, this time from a technical perspective.
