Pat Purdy       An abstract artist who loves to experiment

Pat is basically an abstract artist who loves to experiment with different materials and techniques.  She works mainly with acrylics, resin and acrylic pours.  She has also worked with alcohol ink, acrylic ink, watercolour, mixed media and encaustics.

Pat is recently relocated to Perth (home for her) from Cobourg, Ontario and Winnipeg, Manitoba.  In Winnipeg she won the Betty Andrich memorial award at the 2005 Red River exhibition for best acrylic abstract work.  She showed extensively in Winnipeg in group and individual shows.  Pat participated in Manitoba art expo, for a number of years. Her work is in several business locations in Winnipeg, MB.;  Notably Alpine Animal Hospital, Gillespie Vision Centre and private residences.  Pat is a past juried member of the Manitoba Society of Artists, MSA.

In Cobourg she participated in a number of juried shows (the Northumberland Art Gallery, Colborne Art Gallery, Impressario Nuwork art show and Warkworth maple syrup festival).  Pat also participated in the 2013 Northumberland Hills studio tour.  While in Cobourg her work was published in Nuwork and Watershed magazines.

Pat was the featured artist in the April 2016 issue of The Humm.  She was top selling artist at the Grist Mill Art Gallery (Westport, On.) and has shown successfully at Local Colours Fine Art Group (Perth), Paint the Summer (Perth), Holly Jolly Art Sale (Perth), Art in the Barn(Lombardy), Art Works Perth Studio Tour and several Arts Carleton Place art shows.

Pat currently has work on display at Café Bean in Perth, Ontario.
