Sketching local architecture

Peggy Schenk – aka Pegmeisterart – is a self-taught artist living in Perth, Ontario and she creates art full-time after retiring from a career in banking.

She does urban sketching in pen, ink, watercolor and color pencils and she sketches mostly on location. Her favorite thing to sketch is architecture; and living in this area ,with its abundance of heritage buildings, provides her a lot of inspiration.  As well, she enjoys sketching lively and busy street scenes, interiors, and takes commissions for house and storefront portraits.  Peggy’s art portrays the simple beauty that is in everything around us.
